Family Volunteering Club October 2026

Join The Family Volunteering Club for an autumnal session in our wild garden, helping us to prepare the site for the onset of Winter. Parents and children will work together to harvest seeds and propagate plants, make compost from garden waste and sort out the greenhouse.

What families will do:

  • Get stuck in and support our garden. There's lots to do, but many hands make light work!

  • Discover the many and varied activities it takes to maintain an urban community garden in Autumn and into the winter months.

  • Learn green skills which you can use at home, at school and in your community

  • Engage with wildlife in the garden including butterflies, bees, newts, birds and more

  • Experience the affirming benefits of a morning in a beautiful garden, right in the heart of London

The sessions will be run by one of our lovely horticulture team, so all family volunteers can get stuck in regardless of age or gardening experience. All tools are provided, and we advise wearing comfy clothes that families are happy to get a bit muddy in, and to dress for the weather whether that's sun hats or raincoats! We have covered outdoor classrooms for wetter weather too.
