Outcomes for students
Typical outcomes for students leaving Roots and Shoots
We had 20 students join Roots and Shoots in September , 18 of the original students completed the course (this is against a national drop out rate of 40% for level 2 courses).
Of the 17 which completed all achieved their NVQ Level 1 qualification.
15 achieved all of their Maths and English qualifications, with the others gaining units towards the qualifications.
16 students achieved their Preparing For Employment qualification.
2 students went on to Apprenticeships
7 students went on to further study at college
1 student went into employment
1 went on to other training
1 became pregnant
5 students are still actively looking for employment or training with Roots and Shoots support in most cases.
