Herbs, vegetables, flowers - good selection at very reasonable prices

Star-shaped yellow flower.

Plants produced as part of the training at Roots and Shoots are sold throughout the year. Large numbers of plants are produced from seed and 'plugs' from January onwards and these are sold as they become ready.

They comprise many excellent and reliable plants for hanging baskets or window boxes such as Bidens, Petunia, Fuchsia, lobelia, Verbena as well as good bedding or border plants such as Alyssum, Impatiens, Aquilegia, Verbana bonariensis, Verbascum, Digitalis. These are complemented by some lovely annual climbing plants such as Cobaea, Tropaeolum and Ipomoea and spring bulbs.

Trainee carrying plants for sale.Generally, there is also a good selection of herbs, vegetables and other food plants, including less well-known and heritage varieties. Unusual climbers, shrubs, trees and rare plants are not usually stocked but if you are local and cannot get to a good garden centre we can probably arrange to purchase plants from reputable suppliers.

We also sell compost in large and small amounts. The trainees sometimes have full hanging baskets to sell during spring and summer.

All our prices are very competitive. If you think they are too cheap you can always make a donation!

All money raised be plant sales goes towards the running of Roots and Shoots which is a registered charity.
