News from our floristry trainees

7th April 2015

Our floristry trainees helped out at the Camellia Show at Chiswick House recently. Along with their tutor Jean Wilmott, they set up a special exhibition in preparation for Opening Day of the popular annual Camellia Show.

This exciting initiative is part of a historically important conservation programme supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund in collaboration with the International Camellia Society, Camellia expert John Price, Tregothnan Gardens and Trehane Nursery.

The Show celebrates these beautiful blooms within the elegant Chiswick House Conservatory, a 300ft glasshouse designed by Samuel Ware in 1813 for the 6th Duke of Devonshire.

We are very proud that our trainees and staff were given this opportunity. Local community television channel interviewed Linda and some of our students. Watch the story here.
