Hall & Room Hire
Our new, well-equipped conference hall and smaller meeting room are available to hire. Located in central London, just south of the river, Roots and Shoots is ideal for organisations looking for affordable space for hosting conferences, lectures and meetings.
The Hall
The hall seats up to 50 people with space allowed for projector/screen/flip charts etc. It is fully accessible. Tables and chairs are provided.
A digital projector and laptop are available for hire. Video tape player with the projector is also possible. Projector stand, screen and extension leads will be provided free of charge if required. Flip chart stand and sheets can be hired.
The hall has under-floor heating throughout, and has large north-facing windows and a row of small south-facing windows, making it light and attractive on the dullest of days.
The hall is a prominent feature of the architecture of the new Learning Centre. It has a large roof of photovoltaic (solar electricity generation) and solar water heating panels. The Learning Centre has other "eco-features" including three planted ("green") roofs and one "brown" roof managed as interesting invertebrate habitats, rainwater collection feeding the flush toilets and window boxes, and nest boxes for sparrows and starlings built into the timber cladding.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements or to book the hall.
The Meeting Rooms
These are in the reconditioned 19th century stable building. The rooms are suitable for groups of 15–20 depending on layout. Audio-visual aids can be hired as for the hall. The Upper Meeting Room is not wheelchair accessible, the Lower Meeting Room has a slight width restriction on the entrance but is otherwise accessible.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements or to book the meeting rooms.
Catering
Catering can be provided by Roots and Shoots. We can provide full lunches cooked on the premises or more simple fare.
