Volunteering at Roots and Shoots                                                                     Wendy

 

We work with a broad range of volunteers at Roots and Shoots; some help us every week, some at a couple of events each year. However often they help they make a fantastic contribution to our work.

 

The range of work the volunteers do is also very varied, from helping each week working with students to cooking sausages at one of our events. Some volunteers assist in the wildlife garden others work in our shop.

 

We try to match the interest and skills of the volunteers with our requirements. We are happy to help develop volunteers skills and experience, previous volunteers have gone onto paid work in similar areas they have helped us with.

Roots and Shoots also works regularly  with CSV EV who supply teams of volunteers, such as a team from the firm KPMG who helped get the site ready for our summer open weekend and distributed posters to the local area.
